Project Description:

The $498 million Measure B Bond Program at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District was passed in 2004. Due to the unprecedented cost escalation in the first couple years of the Bond program, O'Connor was selected by the District to provide value engineering services in order to bring the Measure B projects back on budget. Value Engineering is a process in which we solve problems, increase quality, and maximize functionality of each project within the budget constraints and while eliminating unnecessary costs.

Our projects included:

• Chabot College: Community and Student Services Center
• Las Positas College: Center for the Arts
• Las Positas College: Child Development Center
