Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo: Center for Science
San Luis Obispo, CA

Project Cost: $108 million

      projects > higher education

Project Description:

After a 15 year process to approve and fund the Center for Science and Mathematics, the new six-story project is underway. The first phase of the project will involve demolition of a portion of Cal Poly's Science Building (#52), an out-of-date, deficient, and sprawling, one-story building.

The new building will encompass 197,849 GSF in the center of campus, where pedestrian pathways from the residence halls, public transportation, the University Union, campus dining facilities, and the bookstore all lead to the Center for Science and Mathematics. The Center will house state-of-the-art classrooms, and student and faculty research space and offices.
