In January 2018, the City of Santa Monica awarded OCMI a contract to provide cost estimates for 30-50 projects within a very quick turnaround. Most of the estimates were completed within 2 weeks, and once we had final scope on the remaining projects we completed everything within 3 weeks. For estimates that we priced in detail, this City required us to detail line item breakdown with estimated quantities, unit prices, and extended costs; escalation to the midpoint of construction; and design and construction contingencies of 10 percent each. OCMI delivered these estimates within a quick turnaround and high quality.
