Advanced Water Purification Facility

Client
City of Oxnard

Sensitive to site and environmental factors, our scheduling solutions helped to deliver a new facility that improves the City’s water supply reliability.

To support the City of Oxnard’s Groundwater Recovery Enhancement and Treatment (GREAT) program, OCMI provided the City with scheduling reviews, phasing plans as well as change order review services for the construction of a new $75 million advanced water purification facility (AWPF). Our scheduling deliverables included cost and resource loaded schedules using Primavera’s P6 platform.

Due to the high groundwater table, the depth below grade and height of the APWF’s buildings are constrained. OCMI’s team factored these sensitive considerations when analyzing the project schedule due to excavation and dewatering and the innovative design approach utilized by the engineering design team.

The new facility sits on a 4.3-acre site with a portion of that area dedicated to a visitor’s center, administration building, and a conference center.
