National Intern Day
This week, OCMI is celebrating our incredible summer interns who are bringing fresh perspectives and curiosity to our project sites, preconstruction teams, and administrative departments. From project controls to field coordination, they’re gaining hands-on experience in turning ideas into impactful structures.
Interns Ryan Utter and Alyssa Johnson, both students at San Diego State University, were joined by Tyler Harrison of California State University, Chico for a behind-the-scenes tour of two active SDSU construction projects: the Evolve Student Housing development and the new Life Sciences Building.
IT intern Karina Lee joined our team on-site at Fresno State – experiencing how construction, technology, and collaboration come together to build meaningful spaces for communities. Field visits like this spark inspiration and purpose for the next generation of AEC leaders.
A big thank-you to our interns for jumping in with enthusiasm—and to our project teams for mentoring the next generation of builders and leaders shaping the future of the built environment.
