Working with CCSD to Reduce Master Plan Duration and Cost
OCMI supported the architectural team of TSK Architects with rough order of magnitude estimating for each phase of development for the master plan to expand the existing Academy of the Arts.
Located in the heart of the Downtown Las Vegas District, the Academy connects local students with dance, music, theater, and visual arts education disciplines. The master plan focuses on the preservation and re-purposing of the existing historic buildings of the complex to accommodate space for new specialized majors in the arts. Working with the District and Development Team, OCMI assisted with several duration options and provided variance reports between each revision. The teams effort allowed the District to reduce the project duration from 10 years to 40 months, saving them six years’ worth of escalation and reducing phase counts as well.
