A Rare Milestone in Sustainable Campus Design

We are proud to share that earlier this year, the San Diego State University Aztec Recreation Center earned a LEED Double Platinum certification, an achievement attained by fewer than 100 facilities under the U.S. Green Building Council’s rating system.

It joins the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union as the only two LEED Double Platinum facilities in the California State University system. Both projects were supported by OCMI as the Construction Manager.

OCMI was proud to support the progressive (CSU collaborative) design-build team by providing preconstruction and construction management, cost and schedule management, value engineering, and Inspector of Record services, helping deliver the expansion on an accelerated schedule while keeping sustainability at the forefront throughout design and construction.
