Third-Party Estimate Review Supports More Accurate Final Construction Costs

OCMI was engaged by the architect to develop an independent cost estimate for a new indoor athletic facility at Prairiland High School in Pattonville, TX. The 45,000 SF pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) will serve as a unique training facility for the entire ISD in all seasons. The project also included substantial sitework, parking lot renovations, and drainage improvements to support the new facility.

The ownership team had already engaged a CMAR. Due to unsteady market conditions, OCMI was asked to provide an independent estimate to assist the architect in reconciling the deltas between the design team and CM@R estimates. OCMI’s estimate was included in a report to the district to forecast probable final construction costs.
